Hi! I’m Vicki, and I created Equistride to raise the bar of lameness diagnosis and treatment for the horses of Auckland and Northland. You shouldn’t need to travel down to the Waikato to get answers.

I have the knowledge, skill set and tools needed to solve the “why” behind lameness and poor performance and get your horses back on track, be that competition or pleasure riding on the beach.

I bring 11 years of experience, 8 of these at one of the UK’s top equine hospitals, focusing on lameness. I moved to NZ 3 years ago and I’m passionate about delivering the same standard of care to the horses of Northland and Auckland. See my about me page for a more detailed run down of my background!

My approach is thorough, logical, and holistic. I take the time to listen to the horse and the owner, assess the whole picture, and work patiently through the process until we have clear answers.

Clients can expect a calm, patient, and precise approach.

Coming from Yorkshire, I understand that “gold standard” isn’t always practical or desired, and I’m more than happy to work within budgets and take things step by step. If lameness exams stress you out, just tell me — you’re welcome to relax with a coffee while my team and I handle everything, or leave your horse with us and return later.
